The Liberty Bell March for G Bugles

And now for something completely different?

To celebrate the 4th of July I decided to throw together a quick arrangement of my second favorite Sousa march "The Liberty Bell". I played this a lot in high school, so it has a soft spot in my heart. That and I also really like Monty Python’s Flying Circus. I think that juxtaposition of American pride and downright silliness is a good representation of the current state of America.

William Tell Overture for G/D Bugles

What do you mean we?

I had the idea for this one after seeing a TikTok of someone playing the opening on trombone and realized that they weren't moving their slide at all. I thought this would be perfect for bugles. That being said I had to cut out some large portions due to some notes not being available on the instruments. That being said this was still really fun to make and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Eggs Often Scrambled

What about second breakfast?

"Eggs Often Scrambled" is a new bugle call to announce that eggs will be served for breakfast. The eggs don't necessarily have to be scrambled but I prefer that my eggs are. This is another bugle call that I wrote for a Duty Bugler music contest. This time we were restricted to only the first four notes of the bugle, nothing above the staff. I actually found this a little more challenging the the previous contest. Still I am happy with how it turned out. Again, if you are interested in bugles I suggest you check out the Duty Bugler. https://thedutybugler.com/

The New World Symphony For G/D Bugles

Seems pretty old to me?

I got the idea for this arrangement after reading the March 6th edition of The Duty Bugler newsletter. In the newsletter was a fingering chart for a one valved bugle used in drum corpse throughout the early twentieth century. They could only play one major scale. I found this limitation fascinating and so I wanted to try arranging something for the instrument. I’ve also wanted to try arranging the New World Symphony for a few years now. I felt like now was the perfect opportunity to combine both ideas!

Lasagna Served at Night

Is anyone hungry?

This is to be played whenever Lasagna is served passed 9:00 pm to announce that lasagna is being served. This was made for the "Duty Bugler" music contest featured in their newsletter. I've never written bugle music before but I thought I would give it a try. I am actually pretty happy with how it turned out for being limited to 8 bars and the various amount of notes. If you're interested in bugle music definitely go check out the Duty Bugler. https://thedutybugler.com/

Into The West

Why do the white gulls call?

Here is something I've had bouncing around my head for a while now. Back in 2017 during my first semester of college I had just gotten a new keyboard and was playing around with the brass sounds when I realized how good this song would sound as a drum corps closer. Well after over three years later I have finally got the idea out and on paper. I am pretty happy with it although I think it is pretty simple. I still have no idea how to write percussion parts.

Godfather Love Theme

Speak Softly Love?

Here is my take on Speak Softly Love from the Godfather. I made it for Heritage Plus who posted the idea on the musescore brass page. They laid out the instrumentation that I used. They also requested for the horn part to be optional so I wrote it to double the trombone 1 part since it gets pretty high. I also included bass clef versions of the Euphonium and Tuba parts in the download. I had a lot of fun putting this together and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

Beetlejuice (Movement 1)

A halftime show about death?

Here is something that I've been working on for a while now. I had the idea late last year when listening to the Beetlejuice the Musical album and wondered if I could make a marching band show out of it. I started the basic outline in February but got burned out when I had no idea what to do for movement 2. About a month ago I decided just to finish movement 1 anyway. I'm pretty happy with how it sounds for being my first marching band arrangement. I had a lot of fun making this so I hope you like it.

CheerS (Cells At Work)

Happy Good Day?

Yes another anime flute arrangement. This show was absolutely awesome especially watching it with my sister who majored in biology. When I heard the credit song I immediately thought it would be perfect for a flute arrangement. I spent a good day making this and I think it turned out just as cute as the platelets.

Ponyo Theme

Little fishy in the sea?

This is another arrangement that started as a prank on my sister. Back when the Ponyo sound was circling around tik tok it would consistently get stuck in our heads. I was overcome with the urge to arrange it for flute choir and made this in one night.

The Ballad of Sweeney Todd

The demon barber of fleet street?

This project started on June 29th 2017. I had just graduated high school and to cope with quitting drum corps I decided I wanted to try and arrange The Ballad of Sweeney Todd. For my first ever drum corps arrangement I am pretty happy with how it turned out. I think the brass parts sound really cool and close to the movie opening. I got stuck when it came to arranging the pit parts as I don’t really know anything about those instruments. However I really like the marimba part I made up for section D, I just think the chords sound really cool. I was never really fully satisfied with the arrangement and kept feeling like I would come back to finish it but until then here is this copy.

Super Mario 3D World - World 1

Macho madness?

This project started out as a Prank on my sister.  The year was 2016 and my sister wanted me to arrange a version of Rey's Theme for the Flute Choir she was part of.  At the time I would consistently sing Macho Madness to annoy her.  Even though I quickly threw this together I am still proud of the way it turned out.

Theme from Palladio

Diamonds are a girls best friend?

The Theme from Palladio for Flute Choir was the first piece I arranged that I was actually proud of.  I made it back in 2016 for the Pike's Peak Community College Flute Choir.  At the time the group was directed by my piano teacher and my sister was a member.  It was fun watching a piece I worked on get preformed

Grim Grinning Ghost

When hinges creek in doorless chambers?

This Trombone Arrangement of Grim Ginning Ghosts form the Haunted Mansion ride at Disneyland was one of the first arrangements I ever created.  I made if for a high school project back in 2015.  It's not the best arrangement but it is part of my history.

Also Sprach Zarathustra

A space odyssey?

This is Also Sprach Zarathustra for a trombone quartet.  I arranged this for a book report on 2001 a space Odyssey in 10th grade.  I never felt truly happy with how it turned out but it is one of the first arrangements I tried to make.

Rainbow Factory

Where fears and horrors come true?

I really debated putting this one up here because it is part of my past i rather forget.  Possibly my first ever arrangement this piece was based off the Rainbow Factory by Wooden Toaster.  It is pretty obvious I had no idea what I was doing at the time.  Let's pretend this doesn't exist.
